These panoramas were created as part of my participation in the World Wide Panorama event for the 2012 Vernal Equinox. They were all taken on March 18, 2012 between 8:00 pm and 10:00 am EDT.
2012 is the 100th anniversary of the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the Japanese. Click the links below for more details. These images were taken on a misty Sunday morning so that the top of the Washington monument is obsured. The blossoms peaked two days later on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
